At Crufts, Barak was second in Veteran Dog under international all-rounder judge Zena Thorn-Andrews.
Thank you to the RR Club of Scotland for sending us a beautiful rosette to celebrate Porenn’s Champion title.
At RR of GB AGM Porenn was awarded the Gunthwaite Shield, for top winning bitch sired by an imported dog, and Juniper of Grayhaven Trophy for Best Bitch at the Hound Show 2013. Barak was awarded the Janak Marie Trophy for Top Winning Veteran.

On a cold windy day in Scotland Porenn took part in two shows. At the Hound Association of Scotland Championship Show, breed specialist Eddie Patterson was judging and Porenn was placed second. Later in the day the sun tried to come out for breed specialist, Lisa Aitken, who judged the RR Club of Scotland Open Show. Porenn showed beautifully and won Open Bitch, Best Bitch and Best in Show. Very proud of our special girl who now has 4 CCs, 2 RCCs and 2 Best In Shows at Breed Shows

At Bournemouth Championship Show Porenn won Open under Breed Specialist, Gillian Hutchinson.
The last show of August was City of Birmingham Championship Show where All-Rounder, Frank Whyte was judging Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Porenn won Open and the Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate, rounding off a fantastic month at the shows.

We had a lovely day at Richmond Championship Show where Porenn won Open. The judge was Charlotte Strickland.
Porenn has exceeded all our hopes in and out of the ring. She is lovely to live with and is a real character, who makes us laugh with her antics. As she is now 4 years old we are starting to plan her first litter. We are hoping her puppies will be born towards the end of this year.

Happy 2nd Birthday to the Gabisa Super Hero Litter. We are really proud of this litter sired by Barak, they all appear to be wonderful happy companions. Max and Mila have had some lovely placings in the showring. Neo has turned into an ‘awesome family member’ and is being trained by his owner Carol Hall to be her Disabled Assistance Dog. Though Carol has always owned dogs, Neo is her first Ridgeback and she is teaching him amazing things to do to help her with her day to day life. By taking a slow, calm and consistent approach Neo regularly helps Carol transfer and stay safe in the bathroom, has his own emergency call button to send for assistance if she falls or for an ambulance if she is unconscious. Neo can fetch things by name, put cans in the recycling, assist with undressing and get low down items for Carol when out shopping. As he matures Carol will teach him more and more tasks. There are several You Tube videos of Neo at work and play . . . he is still very much a Ridgeback, when he isn’t working!

We are over the moon to announce that Porenn has been confirmed in whelp. The proud father to be is the very handsome Merlin, Ch Roseridge Royal Romeo JW (AI) (Imp Sweden). This litter will be truly international, combining some of the top original blood lines from America with some of the best British, Swedish, Australian and European lines. Merlin has a fantastic temperament and a typical Ridgeback sense of humor, which should go beautifully with Porenn’s easy going, sweet nature.
